The call can stand alone if you just need some guidance — and if it leads to a flat fee project, the full cost is credited toward that engagement.

Meet The Founder
Samantha Scott, Founder and Principal Attorney
I started Counsel on Main to give small businesses access to the same caliber of legal counsel that big companies have — without the big-firm overhead, billing surprises, or unnecessary complexity.
I'm a BYU Law graduate with a finance background and nine years of business law experience, including time at Dorsey & Whitney advising emerging companies. That's where I learned to think like a business lawyer — how deals actually get done, what founders and operators really need, and how to move fast without missing what matters.
Over the course of advising more than 1,000 clients, I've worked across the full lifecycle of a business — forming companies, raising capital, buying and selling, drafting the contracts that keep everything running, and protecting the equity that makes it all worthwhile. What I kept seeing was the same problem: business owners getting underserved, overcharged, or left in the dark by firms that weren't built with them in mind.
